Today we will deal with the most important topic — diet or you can say dieting.
Diet is the common word used these days. Whatever you may be trying to achieve, you will come across the word diet.
Whether you want to …
- lose weight,
- maintain weight,
- improve health,
- or achieve any fitness-related goal.
As you hear about the word diet, you might get confused with the common term dieting.
The world of nutrition is filled with many claims but most of them don’t stand up to promise.
Before running to any conclusion we will talk about diet and what does it mean.
The word “Diet” is not a new term. It comes from the Middle East ‘diete’, from Latin ‘diaeta’ and from the Greek ‘diaita’, which means ‘manner of living’.
Diet has been followed for a long time. So you don’t need to worry when you hear about diet.
But there is a concern with the practices adopted in the name of diet. There was concern way back in centuries and still there. The intention behind the diet was to promote healthy eating. It was a choice made in food and lifestyle that kept them healthy and improved energy.
While there are drawbacks with the use of a single entity.
Diet was and will be a part of a healthy lifestyle. Even if you go on a diet, it won’t be efficient without complete changes.
Even the case is same when I’m using the term, diet.
If I say, “You need to improve your diet,”.
I don’t mean you need to go on dieting. I just mean to say, follow a healthy eating ritual to nourish your body instead of starving it.
Starving or depriving the body of healthy food and nutrient is the worst thing you can do to your body.
“I am dieting.” a common phrase used to say that they are following a strict routine. This strict routine turns out to be fad. We are bound to many things — hormones, taste crave, nutrition demand, and emotions.
When we and our body feel deprived, there is resistance to continue the routine. When you lose your willpower, you won’t be able to control your eating habit.
The modern dieting technique has many promises. Millions of books and programs are sold with a new and unique concept and theories.
Thousands of products are launched. Weight loss and fitness turned out to be the biggest source of economy. But every concept failed, and that too badly.
You can look at stats. Obesity and other related health conditions are rising. If the modern world diet would have worked, then there wouldn’t be any crises.
It’s a sign we need a better and reliable solution.
With the hope to provide the best solution, I started with my book. When I started with the book my focus was directed to lose weight and ease the maintenance. But after reviewing it multiple times, I found a loophole.
The loophole was that it didn’t serve the purpose of what I had in my mind. But after stumbling through the idea to provide the best, I rewrote the book even after spending a huge sum on editing and designing.
There is a short story behind the change of the book and the idea which you will know in other series. Yes! there is a plan for a series on “Lifestyle Revolution“.
The story I came across gave me the right direction. So I am following it to spread the wisdom I got.
I’m shooting the video in December 2019, and still, the book is under my review. Looking for better changes so that it can serve my purpose — to give you a better solution. And even to make your life better instead of adding stress.
Yes! It’s about the book “The Lifestyle Revolution” that I mentioned on the first day. And it’s my goal to spread the idea through every possible means. And the YouTube channel will serve the purpose when you get positive change in your life.
What Does A Diet Mean
A diet resembles “the art of living”. It’s a part, not a complete routine. Even if you adopt a healthy diet, you even need other changes, although those changes may be minor.
It’s not about restriction. You don’t need to compromise everything to eat healthy. You might have come across term moderation.
Your 30 day whole-hearted effort won’t matter if you don’t stay consistent with it. Daily healthy choice throughout life is the key to lifelong well-being.
How You Can Make Better Changes?
“Compromise everything for what you want” is the modern world phrase. But the phrase doesn’t apply to everything or maybe anything.
Making a compromise isn’t the best thing in life. It will makes life tough and leave in deep emotional stress.
Life is about enjoying every day — every small steps, and every small victories.
While making any changes, please make sure you don’t go harsh on yourself.
The process you’re adopting is for your well-being. So don’t go harsh on yourself.
You may compromise everything for a particular goal, but you won’t feel the excitement after achieving the goal as you gave everything for it. While, such achievements don’t last as they make daily life miserable.
The process you don’t enjoy is the process you won’t able to follow for long. The day you quit, you will get back to the same position where you started.
Start with small changes. Make slow changes. Don’t quit every food you like, just limit them. Eat whole food. Many helpful tips are coming ahead in the series, so stay tuned.

Do Diet Work?
But it depends on what and how you plan to use it.
If you consider is a part of the lifestyle — you will get a better result and will find it easy to keep.
If you consider it as a one and only change — there will be a never-ending struggle.
Life is complex these days, don’t add more hurdles. Why to go extreme when you can get better results with small changes.
There is more ahead that will help you make better changes. So wait before you make any extreme changes.
