If you want to lose weight, it’s the best decision, but before going further you need to accept a challenge.

The challenge may look intimidating, but you need to accept for better changes.
Stop all your effort — the effort to make quick fixes.
Do it for a while — for a few months.
If you had spent years on a fruitless effort, it’s time to make changes.
Shift your focus and energy toward essentials rather than wasting on quick fixes.
There are lots of options. They make our life easy and bring everything at the tip of the finger.
The ease to get everything make us fall into a belief that fitness and health goal can be achieved is no time. If it was possible then the health crises and obesity epidemic wouldn’t be a norm. We would have been living into the healthiest time.
The technology has developed, but it won’t provide any shortcut.
For a few moments, forget about the quick result, focus on results that will last.
Stop quick fixes from enchanting you.

You need to find gold, not that mimic gold.
You need to find a plan that gives you the result, not that mimic result.
Don’t wait for another few months on a plan that won’t provide you with a lasting result. Make each effort count.
Grab all the opportunity, you have in the present moment, to make the right changes.
Block the distractions, stop looking for quick changes and quit whatever promises quick result.
The purpose of every fitness goals is to bring discipline; if the former practice doesn’t support the purpose — kick out from your life.
1. Self Examine Yourself and Your Goal
Everyone is an amateur at the beginning.
It’s their self-awareness and focuses paved their way to the destination.
Your goal may be — to lose weight, improve health, increase strength fitness level or energy level — you have to start from some point and take the first step.
Know the level of dedication required to achieve the goal before committing to a plan. With the goal awareness, you won’t lose your focus. You will make changes essential to achieve and maintain the goal.
By analyzing the demand of goal you won’t waste time on nonessentials.
2. Figure out activities that don’t serve your mission
The second task – dump all the activities that don’t serve your mission.
List out the quick fix or activities you follow. When you list out all the activities, you get to learn more about the activities that serve your purpose or are fruitless.
The task may look time-consuming but will save time and effort. You will spend your time on a task that matter so the result doubles.
Tips to list out activities.
- Essential — you can continue it,
- Can Be Improved — can look for a better option,
- Nonessential — sure, you need to find a better one.
Be mindful for the effort and time spent. We have limited time, so it’s best to spend time on activities that serve the goal.

Until now everything appeared to be easy due to quick fixes for every problem.
When you try to adopt long-term practice, even the simplest strategy feels tough. It’s normal while adopting a new routine.
Our brain tries to keep us safe by keeping us in the comfort zone.
The moment we try to snap out of comfort zone — it tries its best to bring back. Don’t worry, it’s normal, but, the moment you get out of the comfort zone — you make great progress.

1. Statement: Carbohydrate and calorie are the root cause of health crises.
Solution Statement: Calorie from carbohydrate is responsible for weight gain.
Quick fix: Cut all the carbohydrate source. Eat calorie deficient diet or skip food containing carbohydrate.
The long-term solution: Take time to understand calorie, types of carbohydrate, their purpose, how much to eat and the best source.
2. Statement: Protein is good.
Solution Statement : Protein cut calorie intake and frequent hunger pangs.
Quick fixes around: Load diet with high protein. Protein from every source to maximize the protein intake.
The long-term solution: Take time to understand the protein, types of protein, their purpose, how much to eat, and the best source.
Protein is good but overeating and the unhealthy source doesn’t give the same benefit.
3. Statement: Fat is bad
Solution Statement: Fat is a bad nutrient responsible for weight gain and other health issues.
Quick fixes: Cut all the fat source.
Long-term solution: Take time to understand fat, types of fat, their purpose, how much to eat, and the best source.
4. Statement: Green tea helps to burn fat, thus helps to lose fat.
Solution Statement: The need for a beverage that helps to achieve weight loss goal and look slim.
Quick fix: Drink green tea to burn fat. Keep on drinking, more the green tea you drink more fat you burn.
Long-term solution: Take time to learn about tea, how much is enough, how much is excess and side-effects, and what we can incorporate to lose weight rather than depending only on green tea.
The above example is to resembles why we accept quick fixes.
When we find a shortcut, it’s tough to choose a difficult path. We are on a pursuit to save time, so we choose activities that save time neglecting the negative impact.
Take a break for a while. Spend a few moments on learning. It will save time wasted on the fruitless effort.
Before beginning the journey, everything will look tough. Your life and goal will simplify within few weeks.
